How it works

Your desktop runs Mate as the server. It owns all session state: terminals, projects, agent chats, and files. Your phone (or any other device on the same network) pairs with it and acts as a live mirror — you see and interact with the same sessions, in real time, from anywhere on your local network. No cloud. No accounts. Just your devices talking directly to each other.
